Molly had big dreams and ambitious goals. She wanted to
become a successful businesswoman, earn lots of money, and live in luxury.
Every day, she worked tirelessly to climb the corporate ladder, striving to
achieve her goals.
But despite all her success, Molly felt a sense of emptiness inside her. No matter how much she achieved, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was missing. One day, feeling overwhelmed and lost, Molly decided to seek guidance from an elderly neighbour, Mrs. Chatterjee.
Mrs. Chatterjee listened patiently to Molly’s struggles and
then smiled gently. “My dear,” she said, “you have accomplished
a lot in your life, but have you ever stopped to think about your
purpose?”
Confused, Molly asked, “What do you mean by my
purpose?”
Mrs. Chatterjee explained, “The purpose of life is
different from our roles and goals. It’s about making a positive impact on
others, spreading love and kindness, and finding inner peace. It’s the reason
why we exist.”
Molly pondered Mrs. Chatterjee’s words deeply. Suddenly,
everything became clear to her. She realized that true fulfilment didn’t come
from external achievements but from living a life aligned with her purpose.
From that day forward, Molly shifted her focus. She started
volunteering at local charities, helping those in need, and spreading joy
wherever she went. As she connected with her purpose, she found the happiness
and contentment she had been searching for all along.
Molly’s journey taught her that while goals and roles are
important, they are merely stepping stones on the path to fulfilling our
purpose. And in the end, it’s the pursuit of our purpose that gives meaning to
our existence, and that’s what we all strive to achieve.
